Leopard dashboard clock takes sweet time changing timezones
Here's a subtle treat in the Leopard Dashboard: the Clock widget, never really the source of much excitement ("Oooh, look -- it's 4 am in Tangiers!") now does a little dance, makes a little love, and gets down tonight when you change time zones. As in the movie above, you can watch the hands whirl about to the new time; the clock face gradually switches from black to white to indicate daylight hours in the new zone. How cute!
Update: Just to clarify, what's new in Leopard is the movement of the clock hands. The white/black clock face swap was present in 10.4 as well, although it was instantaneous instead of smoothly animated.

I think that's great. It's the little things like this that make using a mac not just functional, but fun.

The face changes from black to white to indicate day/night in Tiger too.

@ZuDfunck - The black and white clock thingy! It's worth $129 alone.....
Seriously, I've always questioned each successive upgrade (especially being priced at over $100 each time), but generally am always pleased with the latest release. Leopard is no different - doesn't look a whole lot different, but things like Screen Sharing, Quick View, and more efficient network connections are really making this release useful.

That's a great find. I love how the direction of the change shows whether the new time zone is ahead of or behind the current one. Very slick.

I must say, if you are truly excited about this then go ahead and have "Apple Fanboy" tattooed on your forehead.

And here is a perfect example of the difference between Mac and PC users. PC users have more important things going on in their life than to play with a fucking clock.

But does it animate the change as it does in Leopard?
I love this, and also think it was totally worth a blog post. It's the small things in life, guys!

Actualty, the most enjoyable little peice of eye candy in leopard is undoubtedly the new zoom animation in preview. Its so much more fulfilling than just a normal zoom
