Greetings, TUAW fans. My name is Brett Terpstra and I'm excited to introduce myself as a new member of the TUAW blogging team. It's conceivable that my name may sound familiar to some of you, but entirely possible that I'm just a fresh, new face.Use Spotlight as a reference tool. Type any word in the Spotlight box and one of the top entries will be a definition. Click on it, and it will bring up the dictionary application to check the word in either the dictionary, thesaurus, Apple database, or Wikipedia.

My first name is, by origin, British (co-opted by Maverick, of course), and my last name is Dutch with Frisian origins. I, however, am U.S. stock, born and raised in the midwest and incapable of even a bad Monty Python impersonation.
