And it was at this moment that a tiny crack could be heard to form in the structure which holds together the universe. Soon, the sky would begin to fall, sending women and children running for their lives and leaving the men behind to make futile attempts to undo the damage. Alas, it would be too late.

Later generations, spawned from those few who survived the post-Macworld apocalypse, would ask their parents, "Mommy, Daddy? What caused the world to fall?"

Their parents would but only be able to offer the feeblest of explanations, "It was the moment when TUAW video-blogged Scoble while he was steamcasting from his phone."

Someone must send a message to the future, reminding them that meta can be a powerfully destructive force which must be used sparingly and wisely if we are to survive.
