Flickr Find: The Cocoon

Mitch Haile shared this set with our Flickr Pool to show us the ridiculously awesome setup he has in his office.

From what we can tell, he has:

a 24-inch Intel iMac
a 15-inch MacBook Pro
a Mac Pro with six (!) monitors
several PCs
a couple of Kinesis Freestyle keyboards

The six monitors include four HPs, one ViewSonic, and a 30-inch Apple Cinema Display. The Mac Pro has three video cards. The whole shebang is served by two APC uninterruptible power supplies. Nice.

Me, I just want a reason to keep an ice bucket on my desk.

hi, i have an eight monitor setup, but i can't play a movie on all of them. i tried quicktime and vlc, any option without success. any ideas?

All the uploader's pictures can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bwa32/ The only thing his profile says is "I write software". One of his pictures has SIX monitors side by side PLUS an iBook/MacBook (white) on the left end and an iMac on the right end...making 8 screens side-by-side!!!!

that's an amazing rig -- but he'd better be controlling killer satellites with frikkin lasers or something like that with it. even dudes on a trading floor (or the space shuttle, for that matter) don't have that much screen info to digest all at once.

@kurdt.... I was thinking the same thing. 360 degrees of norp FTW.

When you boast about your setup (which this guy should because it is nice and actually looks functional), you should try to eliminate all incriminating items from your desk.

Maybe he likes to have LAN games against himself?
