Space geeks love MacBook Pros
Like a lot of my fellow space geeks, I was watching the live feed from Spaceflight Now this morning for the launch of the Ares 1-X test vehicle. Unfortunately, the launch was scrubbed, but I was happy to see that the three guys doing the coverage this morning were all using MacBook Pros. The MacBook Pros were all being used to do blogging and tweeting during the launch coverage, as well as to receive updates from NASA.
The coverage was being provided by former CNN talking head and well-known aviation enthusiast Miles O'Brien (center), veteran TV reporter David Waters (at left), and Astronaut Leroy Chiao (at right). While the weather didn't cooperate for the launch this morning, that gives TUAW readers another chance tomorrow morning to watch and listen to the launch, and to admire all that gleaming aluminum in the morning sun -- that's the MacBook Pros, not the Ares 1-X.

Their control room in the bubble/fishbowl (old firing room) is even more mactastic. A mac pro or tow, and imac, cinema display, and even more laptops to support the show. The only PC is the Tricaster control machine.

I'm just wondering:
Two MacBooks Pro or MacBook Pros?
I'm not a native speaker but I doubt the latter is correct .. is it? :P

The name of the item is "Macbook Pro" so the plural would indeed be "Macbook Pros" as the "Pro" is part of the name. Just like how it's "iPod Touches" not "iPods Touch" Now on the other hand something like "MacBook with extra RAM" would be "MacBooks with extra RAM" because the "extra RAM" isn't part of the name.
Hope this makes some sense!

Ok seriously, we see lots of Macbooks everywhere on pretty much every TV show and all that. Not that I don't love riveting stories about people who own Macbooks, but seriously,

Chiao rocked out his MacBook Pro all summer with the other members of the Review of Human Spaceflight Committee.

Surprised I haven't seen any cuts at the glossy screen and them being outside.

Space geeks are intelligent freaks! Just love the Mac and I'm a fan of anyone who agrees with me on this matter. Mac rules! If you don't have one...get one! I recommend a website that features Mac and other top products at prices that beat any offer retailers might have. Check out bit.ly/2TaIuh and join the Mac fan club!
