Mac OS 10.6.3 to bring many fixes

The release of Mac OS 10.6.3 moves closer as Apple has begun widespread testing of build 10D522. According to AppleInsider, this update focuses on stability and core components like AppKit, CoreMedia, Desktop Services, FileSync, Fonts, HIToolbox and more. The current build is 665.7MB in size.

Reports indicate that nearly 60 crash-happy bugs have been squashed across more than 90 components with this update, like printing issues with iCal, Mail and PhotoBooth (fortunately I haven't experienced those). Additionally, 10.6.3 includes native support for the Magic Mouse.

Apple began limited testing in December, and has released several builds since. Now that testing has become more widespread and the fixes increase, we move closer to release.

I'm hoping that this update will improve Expose on the iMac's (And maybe other macs that I'm not aware of...) so that it's more smooth when displaying more than 5 windows.

Can't wait to see the outcome Apple! :)

I gave up on SL (10.6.2). I made my Rev A Macbook Air so slow it was unusable. All I did was upgrade from 10.6 to 10.6.2. Now I just run Windows 7 on it. Windows 7 isn't perfect but it's more usable than SL - it's much faster, I can watch youtube on it, and more importantly, I can watch my school's lecture videos.
It's sad, I would prefer to use the Mac OS. I hope they fix these issues in 10.6.3.

I hope they fix the MacBook Pro battery bug. There's been enough people with the problem, I think it would be in Apple's best interest to get that issue resolved. Or maybe they decided they had some batteries to unload and this was the best way to do it....hrm....

My only SL bug is how iCal won't sync with exchange. Still using grandad entourage until they work out why :(

Then just run BootCamp and be done with it. Nothing wrong with that if Windows is your personal preference.

Bloody hell, lighten up dude.

Hopefully, they will resolve the Adobe PDF driver issues. I know most people will say this is Adobe's problem, but the driver works in 10.5 and below. So 10.6 screwed it up and Apple should be the one fixing things.

Printing to PDF via the button in the lower left of the print dialog blows. So does saving to PS and running through distiller.

Trolling again. I call BS on that statement.

I have four Macs here, each one with SL as upgrade from Leopard, not clean installed. Every one of those Macs runs as smoothly as they did under 10.5

Did someone say "printing issues"? Snow Leopard should be renamed Printing Issues Deluxe!

I've only reinstalled SL once, and that was because I forced 64bit kernel booting on my unibody macbook. It didn't seem to like it, and gave me the flashing ? hdd symbol upon boot several times, and then proceeded to boot into 32bit kernel every time after that. So for safety's sake I reinstalled. My own fault though.
