iTunes 9.0.3 released

That "remember my password" fix will definitely come in handy, though. Get it while the gettin's good!

Did you know that you could use Command-A with text fields on the iPad? It's very handy when using an external Bluetooth keyboard. It selects all the text in the field and displays a touchable Cut - Copy - Paste menu, letting you easily replace the field text or copy it to the system pasteboard.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not crazy. I'd been wondering why I had to reenter my password even though I had checked "remember password". Didn't it work properly back in like 4.0? Here we are 5 years later and it can't get that feature going?
As for security, I've got a screen lock password.

I'll see what it does and how it works. Some are still having issues since iTunes 9 came out (crashing). :(

And I thought not remembering my password was a safety feature ;-)

Then what's the checkbox to remember/not remember for? Super security?

It obviously includes iPad mumbo-jumbo hidden away inside of it. The device will be shipping in a matter of weeks. I'd bet that if anything there's at least an icon hidden for it.

FINALLY! I've been waiting for this fix for smart playlists for going on 6 months! If you used the live updating feature it would scramble all the items in that smart playlist in a completely random order. Makes the whole thing useless when you want a playlist that lists all your music in the date they were added to your library.

My smart playlists are still broken! A simple one is media is music, limited to 50 songs by most recently played. Still jumbled up.

Hmm, live updating still breaks it for me. Anyone having success with this? If you do, please tell me how.

Live updating (top 25 most played playlist for example) still broken. How annoying!

Live Updating is STILL broken! When will they stop playing with our emotions and fix the darn thing? This is VERY frustrating and inconvenient to say the least!!!

What I'd really like to see fixed is sharing when an artist name is different than the sort field. If the artist "Johnny Glockenspiel" is sorted "Glockenspiel, Johnny" on my iMac he still shows up under J when I access him from my MacBook. Ok, that's no big deal--I can live with that. But if I select him from the artist list and start playing, after the song is over it disappears from the list and playback stops. I reported this in 2008 (rdar://6202099).

looks like they broke the previously-broken-then-fixed control+command+Z key command to show/hide the mini player. and yes, i know command+shift+M does the same thing, but muscle-memory people

Plus there's the whole "don't fix what ain't broke" angle to consider. It's a bad idea to make even small changes to the way apps work when there's no clear benefit to the end user.

I should point out that you can correct this behaviour in the System Preferences. In the Keyboard prefpane, click on Keyboard Shortcuts. Select Application Shortcuts from the pane on the left. Click the "+" button to create a new shortcut. Select iTunes from the popup menu of applications and then enter Zoom in the menu title box. Then in the keyboard shortcut box enter a new command.
You'll need to do this twice more. First for Switch to Mini Player and second for Switch from Mini Player. Just make them both control-command-Z and you'll be set.
I'd rather Apple revert iTunes to the way it USED to work, but until then, this will do. At least I CAN fix this problem. They've done this before where there was NO way to fix what they'd broken.
