Flickr Find: Fan-made imaginary covers for Steve Jobs' biography

Personally, my favorite is Connecting The Dots. It uses a photograph by Diana Walker called STEVE JOBS AT HOME IN 1982. Steve Jobs said of the photo: "This was a very typical time. I was single. All you needed was a cup of tea, a light, and your stereo, you know, and that's what I had." I love the layout of the title and the fact that flypigs took the title from Steve Jobs' 2005 Commencement address at Stanford University.

What'd be really fun is if everyone just waited until it was done and did not presume, assume or speculate. That way nobody'd be disappointed as they were when the iPad came out. I was not one of them because I looked and just smiled knowing that Steve would not stand with something that he did not see as something we'd all want to be using. But in the real world people will assume, presume and speculate and so we have the guessers. We'll just have to see.

Autobiography?? I didn't think that His Steveness was writing it himself. Does the author of the article know the definition of the word?

"To Infinity and Beyond!: The Story of Pixar Animation Studios" has already been written (Amazon: http://bit.ly/cK2pfJ), so it won't be that.

Since Steve Jobs thinks different, there will be no photo of him on the cover. Just an idea.

Paul..

These are very good.

Given his hatred of buttons, love of minimalism and his (alleged) demanding ways, I'd like to suggest the following:

(yeah, I'm not a designer - can you tell? :-) )

The imagery could be any number of things, but if I were the editor I would title the book "Different."

There's an out of print biography, done after he was ousted from Apple originally, called "The Journey is the Reward." If you can find it in a used bookstore, pick it up. It's been years since I read it, but it was fascinating...
