The Apple Store isn't down, but order status is

Since late last night, the Apple Store order status page has displayed the banner you see above. We're not sure what it means, but it's driving anyone who is trying to look up order status -- my wife, for instance -- crazy. You can still order anything you desire, you just can't find out what's happening with your order. Fortunately, the order status page is scheduled to be back up and running tomorrow, at which time we'll report on any changes that we happen to find.

My camera connection kit came a day earlier than "expected" by either Apple or FedEx. Thank goodness I had to go home at lunch today, printed the signature release page and it was delivered an hour later.

It's been down for me for almost a week now.
I know 'cause I ordered an MBP like...a week ago.

I've got a tracking number but still don't know what shipping company they are using for my order — and they don't know either, I've called Apple and they couldn't inform me.
Not good, get your $h!t together, Apple!

Filipe,

What does the first 5 alphanumeric characters of your tracking number start with? I could probably tell ya based off that (Fedex, and UPS both have a unique way they start their tracking numbers)

I went to return/replace a defective iPad on Saturday and they told me that their systems were down. Furthermore, all the ipads were out of stock. Why they let me make a genius bar appt. Is beyond me. I can't even speak to customer service. It's absurd.

It;s back up and the iPad 3G I ordered on April 16th that was SUPPOSED to have shipped "by April 30th" has finally shipped and shows delivery of Tuesday. Humph.

Looks like it'll be back up at 8 am Pacific tomorrow morning according to Apple's AppleCare site: http://selfsolve.apple.com/

Seriously, how am I supposed to obsessively check to see if my iPad I ordered yesterday has shipped yet?!

I know your comment is tongue in cheek, but if it wasn't:
Calm down.
Get over yourself.
You have a tracking number in your order confirmation.
You have to copy/paste it into FedEx/UPS/whatever courier manually, but you know what?

They have an app for that.
:>

I'm glad they include the FedEx tracking number in the shipping notice email. Otherwise I would be upset as well.
