New Apple Store planned in El Paso

I don't understand the 7 state hole reasoning. There are Apple stores in all the surrounding states from Albuquerque. Granted there are no Apple stores within 400 miles of Albuquerque. Amarillo, TX a city of almost 200,000 people and only 288 miles from Albuquerque, has no Apple Store.

There's Sunland Park Mall. Which is horrible and doesn't have much selection. The Outlets at El Paso are the newest addition and it seems very plausible that Apple would open a store there. But, then again. Those who live across in Mexico will have to commute over there. They more than likely shop at Cielo Vista due to the high traffic that mall gets and the upscale selection of stores.

I lived in El Paso and 5-6 hour drive to ABQ is horrible. The closest you're getting to Apple in El Paso is Best Buy. So this will be a relief.

I just came from El Paso. And the closet Apple Store is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Get your facts straight. WAY OVER, wtf?

Maybe you meant that it's somewhere in New Mexico that is very far from this location, but El Paso is a border city/town that is crammed right on the border with Mexico, VERY CLOSE to the Texas state line with New Mexico... "way over" , really?
