Hot on the heels of Security Update 2005-007 version 1.0, which botched support for 64-bit native applications, Apple has released a new update to remedy the situation.Security Update 2005-007 version 1.1 is now available for download for both Client and Server and is also available through Software Update. It replaces Security Update 2005-007 v1.0 for Mac OS X v10.4.2. and Apple is instructing all users who have already installed v1.0 on Tiger systems to install v1.1 as soon as possible.
This update provides a combined 32- and 64-bit version of LibSystem to replace the 32-bit version that was delivered in v1.0. No other changes have been made.

How many 64bit applications are out there for the G5 besides Mathematica? If there are what are they?

This seems to affect apps such as Shapeshifter as well.

Sorrely, I installed this security update on my G4 OS 10.3.9 and since then I have lost the ability to print any document except scanned documents from my Canon scanner. As soon as I ask a document to be printed after a few seconds the application involved (mail, safary, firefox,word....)closes and talkback boots up which by the way has never responded to my cry for 'help' . Do you have a solution?
