Photos from inside the new NYC Apple Store

Those kooky cats at the Gothamist are in attendance at Apple's in store press preview of their new 5th Avenue store. They had a chance to snap some pics, and confirmed that this store will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

As we know, most of the store is underground. This store has no theater, and won't be carrying photographic equipment. The first 2500 people will get a t-shirt, and they will be giving out a MacBook an hour for a few days.

Just came back from the new 5th Ave. Apple store. Phil Schiller came out from the store and took a photo on his phone as he was leaving (at least I'm assuming it was Phil...! See Flickr photo to confirm...)

Damn... wish I was in NYC now. This is pretty damn exciting.

2500 shirts... what do you bet that a portion of these will end up on eBay in the next couple of days.

When they release new products, typically the apple stores don't bring them into the store until after the announcement even if they get stock ahead of time (like the shuffle for instance) so no big deal there. If you are talking about rearranging the displays after hours, well then when is after hours for this store? 24/7/365.. I imagine that being open constantly will afford plenty of opportunity to see some construction walls in there in the future.

Does anyone else think that it would be a pain in the *** to clean that cube, and how will they cover it up, if they release new products, because you can see straight down there.
