Leopard screen shots?
But hey, WWDC is right around the corner and with these screen shots we can officially declare Leopard Rumor Season open. Let the speculation begin!

It's a total fake, the Window titles are a mix between Myriad Pro and Lucida Grande in most places. Myriad Pro is for Apple marketing packages and images only.

That screenshot has been around for a while, and it's fake. The MacThemes link above proves it.

I hope it is a fake because it looks boring as hell.

Very fake:
Italics in a web page title? No.
What's with the gray-style scroll-bar in Safari if the rest of the interface is blue?
"2,25" means that it's a non-US localization. Why would they be testing that right now?
1.33 GHz G4? That's kinda a wimpy system for writing a new OS.
Fonts are all wrong.
If they're truly testing the OS, why doesn't their dock have any programming/debugging apps in it? (It does have Photoshop though...)

If it were real, it would be a very early screen shot. 9A39 would be very early in the development cycle (probably only 2-3 months or so, since the initial builds aren't turned out very fast). Think of it this way, when Tiger went GM it was at 8A428.
Now, I doubt these screenshots are real, and I think leopard's UI, while remaining familiar will probably look significantly overhauled compared to that.

Recently I was at an InDesign training course put on by adobe and apple and I believe that I may have seen 'OS X 10.5 Leopard' on one of the Adobe instructors laptops which was being projected to the screen. I can not be certain it was... but the most substancial differences I noticed were that the Apple logo in the menu bar was grey, more defined and approximately 90% the size of the current blue apple logo. Also, the'convenience' icons on the top right where the battery indicator etc.. looked different.

Um..... Is there a difference between this and Tiger? It looks the same to me...
P.S. I am a PC user, so I probably just can't see the miniscule differences in the UI.

Oh dear. Does this mean that Leopard rumour-mongering is going to officially replace all the delightful 'Macbooks next Tuesday' double-talk we've been subjected to for the past 5 or so months? :p *sigh*

If that's the 'redesigned Finder', I think this is proof that their devs have been spending WAY too much time partying on that train we blogged a few weeks back.

You can change the interface in by opening up the .nib files in the application. Such as changing texture, and others. All you need to do is interface builder. The date is wrong, in Tiger, the date is 1983 - 2006, that is 2005. So the date is also wrong. Also, didn't the logo change in the "About This Mac" change when Tiger was released? If it did, then it seems like it would change again. Hmm. it certainly isn't real.

also, the document open in textedit is a .pages document, which does not open in 10.4 textedit.

Tiger's TexEdit.app can open MS Word documents. Hopefully Leopard's TextEdit.app will be able to open Pages documents. That would make sense. Why favor Word? And, no reverse-engineering required.
The virtual desktop implementation is great. Very consistent with Dashboard and Expose.
The colored Finder window sidebar is consistent with other "source" sidebars in Mail.app, iTunes.app, iPhoto.app, etc.
Fake or not, the design is nice and consistent.
