Apple Store coming to Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree, CO

A little TUAW birdie tipped us off to an Apple Store on its way to the Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree, CO. This action shot was snapped in the mall, which is actually a bit surprising when considering Apple's typical M.O. about new store locations.

This will become Colorado's 5th Apple Store, following up the most recent opening of the FlatIron Crossing store in Broomfield, CO Twenty Ninth Street Street Store in Boulder, CO. For those interested, Park Meadows mall is located about 30 minutes south of Denver, right off Interstate 25. Naturally, we'll be soliciting your on-site reports and photo albums of the grand opening, while donations of your opening day t-shirts will go to benefit the TUAW cause.

[Update: Woops, our bad. It was Boulder's Twenty Ninth Street store that was the latest to open, not Broomfield's. Thanks David!]

It's not a big surprise, since Park Meadows has been trying to become a more "upscale" mall. They even gave McDonald's the boot from their food court!

I know I'll be frequenting that store since it's on the way home from work. Any bets that it's opening in June?

Hmm, I don't know which will be closer from my house, but I suspect I will go to the Park Meadows store more often simply due to traffic. Don't have to get on I-25 to go that way.

Glad to see someone caught the spelling on Broomfield, having graduated from Broomfield HS myself. Go Eagles!

Man, I haven't been to Park Meadows in years. Probably since soon after it opened. But having the Twenty Ninth Street store only a few blocks away has been awesome.

More Apple Store love, even deep up in the burbs, is fine by me :)

What's really cool is that I snapped that from my new Blackberry Pearl and emailed him from the spot. I love technology.

Tony is not the only one excited! I live in Castle Rock as well. This new store will make my trips much shorter!

Jeremy: Actually, the Spokane CompUSA is the only CompUSA in Washington that they're keeping open.
