#66 -- No, once you register any version of QT 7 Pro it should 'stick.'

AOL acknowledges the problem but the temportary workaround is to delete all network prefs...something I am leary to do...since i also use my high speed connection for my phone. AOL states they are "working on a solution..."

FIXED by using another Intel [mac pro] to install the Combo update on my MBP via Firewire mode.
I of course tried to simply install it via another mac (imac), but alas, the update wouldn't start up unless I was running on another Intel.
I didn't know about those shortcuts (thanks!) but I noticed right away that the eject key is now slow to respond, I have to hold it for a half second. Maybe that's considered a "feature" so you don't accidently eject a disc? Dunno.

I did some further testing and searching:
It seems that the eject button takes more time to "fire" than in previous versions.
So when I hold the eject button for a short while, the above mentioned shortcuts work.
Hi all!
On my C2D MBP 2,33 the 10.4.9 update killed my favorite shortcuts.
alt+command+eject used to send the mac to sleep.
Now that doesn't work anymore :-(
Also ctrl+alt+command+eject for shutdown and ctrl+command+eject for restart won't work either.
Besides that everything seems to be fine.
i posted earlier on post # 54... i have something to add...what i didn't realize before, is that when i start up, my superdrive ejects randomly @ the white screen, but before the apple logo appears....weird...anyone else having this problem on their Mac Pro?
...also...i was hoping the issue with the purple and green dots everywhere when waking from sleep would go away...but nope...still there...
PBG4 12 1.5. no probs after the update. can't see any difference

On my MBP 3.0Ghz
Will no longer fully start up. Remains at the startup screen with the apple logo and the little circle progress thingy below it. Tried starting from CD, no such luck. Time to do some backing up? I think so.
