Apple preps England's 10th and 11th store

ifoAppleStore - watchdogs that they are - report today that Apple is preparing to open two more stores in England. Specifically, the Touchwood mall in Solihull south of Birmingham has been identified as a likely location as well as Churchill Square in Brighton.

If any of our operatives on the other side of the pond spot any construction or other tell-tale signs, please let us know!

Nice one!

I live about 5 mins from Churchill Sq :)

It'd be great to have a real apple store nearby!

Why haven't Apple come to Ireland yet? We need a store in Dublin badly, if only for the Genius Bar!

I said the North East, there most certainly is not one in the Metro Centre, I think I'd have noticed! Get your facts straight before you challenge mine.

There are 2 in Manchester, one in Sheffield but certainly non in the North East. Closest the Metro Centre has to an Apple Store is a few Macs in Toy R Us not exactly the same thing.

The informed wisdom is that Brighton has the highest density of Mac users in the country. The may be an urban myth, but it may also be what Apple is tapping in to. That said the fellow Mac users I know in Brighton avoid Churchill Square like the plague.

Cambridge needs one. 25% of all UK's venture capital comes here, and lets not forget the kind of companies it hosts.

I've always found it baffling that there isn't one in Bristol. You;ve got two large uni's, colleges, a fairly big tech sector, trendy Bath nearby and a decent population (in Bristol, Bath and the surrounding area). The nearest store is Birmingham, which is a bit of a trek.
