ThinkSecret: Leopard in June

Ah, those crazy kids at ThinkSecret and their "sources." Today they're suggesting that Apple's Leopard operating system will be made available in June, as well as new versions of iLife and iWork. In an attempt to compete with Vista, iLife may be a "free" upgrade for customers who buy Leopard.

Also, it looks like the next version of iLife will be called "Leopard Edition," and not "iLife 07." Of course, all sorts of release dates have been suggested for Leopard, so who knows. We just know that we want it!

Considering that '07 is 1/4 over, they should call it "iLife mostly-'07."

It's pretty obvious to me that Think Secret has lost their sources. This is a bunch of speculation around a date that Apple already announced.

I thing they said that WWDC 07 is your last chance to be ready for Leopard, so yes they may just announce leopard at WWDC for a release the 21of june. But again i can mean something else...

Its not hard to determine that Leopard will have something to do with WWDC in June. The graphic for the conference has the Leopard skin in the background. My guess is that Apple will either launch it then or announce the launch date and show off all of its new features.

Free iLife? Works for me. I just wish it would come out sooner.

I really hope it's not called "Leopard Edition". That sounds to Redmond-y
