QT Compatibility and Keyboard Software 1.2 updates released
Yes, it's that time again folks. Our friends in Cupertino have released two small (and by small we mean 'single sentence release-note' small) updates to OS X 10.4.10, namely Compatibility Update for QuickTime 7.2 and a much-desired Keyboard Software Update 1.2. The updates are available to users via the trusty Software Update option in the Apple Menu, or via the Apple Support Website (Keyboard Update / QuickTime Update). Let's hope it brings enlightenment to those of us who experienced issues with the Aluminium Keyboards, and were unable to fix them.

My new, cool wireless Apple keyboard shipped today from China - I'll bet the software update is for that.

Hi Luigi,
The post was already being written before the tip came in, as I got the updates on my Mac Mini, iBook and MacBookPro about 6 hours ago. Thanks for sending in the tip and reading TUAW.

Finaly my Keyboard works as it should work. I'm just a little sad, that I trashed my dashboard before.

HELP!! Does anyone know how to REMOVE the Keyboard Software update? I couldn't stand the new keyboard, and wanted to move to the old one I had -- but now my keys are all mapped incorrectly.
Any ideas?
Darren

I guess the Keyboard Update only happens if you have the keyboard already.

Awesome. But if I had leopard, the keyboard update wouldn't work and says that you already have a newer version. So I would assume for those with leopard that this patch was already applied?
