Construction continues on Boston's future Apple Store
When Apple opens Boston's flagship Apple Store on Boylston street, it's going to be huge - both literally and figuratively. ifoAppleStore has had a webcam pointed at the construction site for months now, and today's image is impressive. The building looks like it extends from Boylston street to Newbury street behind it, making me wonder if it will have an entrance on either end (check out the overhead photo).
This store is scheduled to open in 2008. Oh yes, I'll be there.

FYI - it won't go throught to Newbury -- that's an alley between the two streets.

I just want them to hurry up and open the Reading, UK store; they've been advertising jobs for ages, and there's no sign of them moving in yet, nor building!

Indeed that is looking fine. I think they should spray some silver Apple logos on that black board that surrounds the construction area at the sidewalk.
I work fairly close to there, so I can't wait.

Tech Superpowers who are hosting the web cam is on Newbury and that backs on to the back of the Apple Store so there's no way it can go through to Newbury. As others have pointed out, there's an alley in between as there is all the way through that section of Boston. If Dave Caolo lives close enough to be there for opening day, you'd think he'd know that...
