Leopard guided tour video posted at Apple.com
Did you enjoy watching those iPhone walkthrough videos last June? Every feature covered, every icon pictured... good times, good times. Now you can get that same sense of anticipation and "ooo ooo gotta buy it" excitement in a bigger-than-a-breadbox form factor with Apple's newly-posted Leopard guided tour video. The tour, narrated by Apple retail store employee "John," is streamed for your pleasure right here. The video can also be downloaded in iPod-friendly (108 MB) and 'large" (380 MB) sizes, if you're the type that likes to watch this kind of thing in private, nudge nudge.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

I like the tour that Apple employee Steve did with a captive audience... huh? What? That was an introductory keynote presentation? Uh, what's the diff?

I really like the direction that Apple is taking with these guided tours. They're so simple and straightforward; it's almost like Apple is trying to make sure potential switchers have absolutely zero excuses.

I liked the video a lot but what about dashboard? Anything different or the same from tiger! I know there will be 2 more widgets shipped with leopard but is that it? Multiple dashboards anyone? Something like spaces for dashboard? Is that too many widgets? We will see in 7 days, 3 hrs 1 min and 45 seconds!!!

the ichat screen sharing looks interesting and dangerous.

iChat sharing will be invaluable to me - especially if it can work without opening ports. It'll be very useful for fixing computers without being there. Currently getting a user to set up VNC is more trouble than it's worth.

Wasn't the snowboarding film the movie that Steve made during the iLife '08 keynote a couple of months ago?

I think that is a CGI iMac in the video from Pixar. There ain't no way you are seeing a new iMac screen without glare lit studio environment.

They always make these guys in the videos wear wedding rings and no other jewelry.

John is a hottie. Even though he uses his hands too much when he talks. :-) @Adam Turetzky, I didn't notice the wedding ring until you pointed it out. Dang!

"John"? As in "John Appleseed," every Apple employee's best friend?

Ok, now I know his friend's email and personal plan including a dinner invitation with detail. Hohoho....lol

One more thing, what's the brand name of the external hdd enclosure?

And yet one more thing: I like the video tour, but how on earth did Apple release it with the guy mispronouncing the word "template" over and over and over again? It's extremely distracting, not to mention unprofessional.

I predict in the future you'll be able to "look" left and right "down the hall" so to speak in coverflow. So that way you can see part of a distant file you recognize out there and then jump right near it or even jump to it directly. I just hope it's before 10.5.2
I'll happen, I'm never wrong about anything, ever.

I enjoyed the video. I think there are some common themes so far with these videos and I try to cover them on my blog http://www.loveforbiz.com. Looking forward to Leopard...

I gotta say, I'm really wondering how well the screen-sharing is going to work. And with video going?!!? Hmm ... remote desktop is a beast now when it has to show a large monitor screen. Anyone else a bit suspicious? Or better yet, anyone actually tried it yet (testers)?

I'm excited for Leopard and all, but can we all just come out and say it?:
Ugliest. Wallpaper. Ever.
