Flickr Find: Apple IIc unboxing

Like geeks everywhere, here at TUAW we like unboxing pics. But unboxing shots from an original Apple IIc? Now that's Apple fan candy! This Apple IIc was recently purchased on eBay and had never been opened before. The lucky buyer posted this Flickr set of the ritual. I particularly love the old rainbow Apple stickers!

I would send in the warranty registration card just to see what happened. Heck this guy should have contacted apple and made a big deal about this never being opened.

So so so cool. :) I just dug up a set of rainbow stickers....not the lovely old typeface tho, the newer Garamond, still wish I'd have kept more of that stuff.

I have an unopened package of those exact rainbow stickers! They're in their plastic under the glass of my desk, and I don't know what I'll do with them.
The only thing is, I only have one big and one small one... not two big and one small like it looks like there. That being said, it's still really cool to have them for myself (especially since I'm quite a bit younger than the stickers). The ones in those pictures are newer than mine, I think since those are from '88 and I think mine are from earlier in the decade.
Anybody want 'em? Make an offer (hah!)

Wow. A rare chance to see a guy remove a commercial product from the box it came in.
"Unboxing" photos and the voyeurs who fap to them are so weird.

"Fap" is a weird verb.

I actually have one of these sitting in my basement. It's not factory sealed, but it's shiny and even has all the original paperwork and everything. It's next to my NES, in similar condition. :)

My college roommate had one. I had some serious envy.

Yup, we had one of those when I was a kid. The only thing we knew how to do on it was play Ultima and Castle Wolfenstein! what was really cool was that it had video out, so we could plug it into the coax of our huge 15" TV!

My first computer -- and I'm amused by how much my MacBook reminds me of it. As I remember it, the ImageWriter cost almost as much as the computer.

I have one that I used in 1987-1989. It's dusty, sitting on a shelf in my laundry room, so if anyone has a need for it, would like to have it, just reply to this message so I can contact you. rgarner

Oh, I see, here's a link to a web site of mine,,, with the email link at the bottom of the page. (in reference to, ... if anyone wants to have my old Apple IIc computer (w/o the monitor, but with the power-supply, and I still have a collection of software disks with it too) ) I just thought that there maybe someone out there who might have a reason for wanting it.
