Uh, the store opens tomorrow. Was this supposed to go up on Monday with all this past-tense language?

Is it in the West Edmonton Mall, or is it a stand-alone store?

The store is located in Phase 2, not a stand-alone unit. It's a 6,000 square foot rectangular store. they said it was a new design.
I was there for the grand opening this morning and it was awesome. Probably about 1000 in line. AppleGazin'

It will be located in the West Edmonton Mall, it looks like.
It's about time. It seems like the most obvious place in Canada they would've put an Apple Store in.
Now we just need on in Saskatchewan...I can dream, right?

Yeah, right here in Saskatoon, please? Stonegate for the win? PLEASE? Neural Net (our 3rd party dealer) isn't quite cutting it. And the Campus "Apple Store" (Retailer...) is a joke.

Da** it -- why did this happen just two months after I moved away! I lived less than 5 minutes from West Ed and would have been there CONSTANTLY.
(BTW -- nobody calls it "the" West Edmonton Mall. It's either West Ed or West Edmonton Mall.)

Kinda like how Apple doesn't call it "an" iPhone or "the" iPhone...just iPhone, as if it were a person. :P

On your way to WEM be sure to stop in at WestWorld and buy an iPod case or something.

Good luck getting anyone to help you find the cases at WW. There'll likely be about three available and all for out dated iPods.

And for those NOT in western Canada, WestWorld has been "the" Apple store in western Canada for as long as there have been Apple products to sell. They even called me last week to let me know they have a deal with Rogers, to sell the iPhone thru their store.
Our Apple store hasn't opened yet in Calgary, but I don't need it. I'll just go to WestWorld.

I hope West World doesn't lose too much business because of this. They have always been great in helping find what I need, and their prices have always been reasonable. Hopefully the market for Apple's has grown enough the the two stores will be able to coexist. BTW, Mr. Caolo, would you link to a video instead of pictures?

Edmonton has been crying out for a good Apple store in Edmonton for many years...
I won't name names but...
- one store has good service, but a very small product selection (pretty much everything I need isn't in stock, and the stuff that is isn't really able to be tested).
- the other store has a good product selection, but I have found their salespersons less than experts at their product lines, which is probably why they have felt they needed to post here to get customers to still visit their store...
Let's hope the other stores use this as an opportunity to improve their customer service and/or product lines... I do feel bad for them, though if this is a reason for them losing sales.
I would hope the Apple Store would just give Apple and the Mac a better name in Edmonton, most of the good Apple stores closed years ago.

Bravo. I live in Calgary and I'll probably drive up to Edmonton to go to an Apple store if I need something reasonably big. I've been to the Apple store SF and the experience is night and day with... certain other stores.
When my MBP battery died they didn't even have a replacement in stock! And they don't stock power adapters at all!

Awlfull? So they were full of simple tools for punching holes in leather. I don't know what retailer you were going to.

Nice banter but where are the pictures! Come on people, I'm in the states right now and can't be in Edmonton for the opening. What's it look like?
