Apple announces date for Q4 conference call

Earlier this week, Apple announced that their fourth quarter financial conference call will take place on October 21st. The live audio stream will begin at 2PM Pacific time.

We'll be liveblogging the call, so check back on the 21st for up-to-the-second information and analysis. Apple's stock took a significant dive last month, as did the rest of the market. Still, Apple's overall market share continues to be strong, and retail stores continue to open across the globe. It will be an interesting report.

These are two different things, if there is going to be an announcement about new Macbooks on the 14th, it has not been announced yet. This call is something that the do every quarter to discuss their financial earnings, they don't use it for product announcements. Again this doesn't mean that they won't have an event in the next few days or weeks regarding new or updated products, I'm just saying that this (October 21, 2pm) ain't it.

This will not be a product announcement, if they are planning on having an event on the 14th I would look for an announcement about that early next week. They have a history of giving about 7 days notice on the events.
