Does Morgan have a Zune? One guess.

Any fan of NBC's geek-centric espionage comedy Chuck knows that there's a healthy helping of Apple tech all over the show, going back to the very first episode. Despite the heavy product placement volume, relatively few Apple fanboy lines make it into the scripts; after all, these folks work at Best BuyMore, which probably sells a lot of HP and Dell gear.

This week, however, a not-so-subtle dig at Microsoft's music player found its way into the episode's closing scenes. Chuck's sidekick Morgan -- not the coolest cat in the junkyard -- jokes that he has a Zune, and then goes off to get his iPod to help Chuck save the world. Nice work if you can get it. The segment is viewable to US residents via this Hulu link.

If you notice other ficitional characters praising Apple and dissing the competition, be sure to let us know via our tips page or Twitter replies. You can also grab screenshots of your favorite Apple gear product placement moments and tag them for our appleontv Flickr pool.

Thanks Mike

The first episode of this season of Spooks (UK) on Monday night had numerous iMacs in it, a MacBook Pro and a MacBook Air (even showed flipping out the port cover!)...

a very funny part indeed, I was laughing out loud as well. That was a good one from the writers.

Look at last week Entourage (another apple loving show) you will see Mrs. Gold talking on her iPhone UPSIDE DOWN.

Say hi to your mother for me.

I enjoyed that moment. Chuck's disbelief and Morgan's dismissiveness was just great.

I also really like Chuck, I worked at Best Buy for three years and that show has it so bang-on it's not even funny. Oh, who am I kidding, it's perfect. Theshow is so well constructed that I only realised how much we'd been cheated when the formula changed!

Normally Chuck and Sarah pretend to be a couple with Casey (Fantastic job Mr. Not-A-Baldwin-Brother-Baldwin) pretends to be a waiter or bartender. Then Bryce Larkin shows up and it's all changed - I sat in my seat going "I'VE BEEN CHEATED FOR A WHOLE SEASON!"

I think if Chuck had a dash of Burn Notice it would be almost perfect.

I think NBC just has an anti-Zune week going or something. Last night on Late Night they did a sketch where Conan called "al Qaeda" and the "al Qaeda" guy mentioned that he had a Zune. When Conan acted surprised that he would have a Zune, the "al Qaeda" guy responded that "iPods are the devil's MP3 players!"

Haha, yeah, I posted these clips on my site as well as the Chuck one. I have a nice Hulu clip and a low quality, but decent non hulu if anyone wants to check it out, here is the link:

The best part was when I was watching Chuck on Hulu yesterday it was sponsored by Microsoft. So right after that dig there is this "I am a PC" commercial ^_^
