Dancing Woz cries foul, then backs down
He was resplendent in a pink satin shirt and geek glasses, but based on his comments earlier one might have thought he should dress in "anger-management purple" instead.
Steve Wozniak, Apple's co-founder and current Dancing With The Stars contestant, picked a fight yesterday with the show's producers as he claimed they were faking results to engineer better ratings. His presence in the bottom two pairings, who had to dance for their lives (and no, I won't spoil it for the TiVo crowd by telling you which one -- Woz or Belinda Carlisle -- is foxtrotting home), was cited as prima facie evidence of a rigged count.
After a cooling-off period, as CNET reports, Woz has updated his Facebook notes on the show to say that the production team has given him a detailed briefing and tour of the vote count configuration, and he now understands the integrity of the process -- he's apologized for his freak-out and he's promised to be a model citizen from now on. Nothing like giving a geek a tour of the server room to smooth ruffled feathers, even if those feathers are on a boa and accessorizing a lovely pair of patent leather tap shoes.

I don't watch the show but good grief... after reading the linked 'book post, I honor him as jackass of the week. He could have at least spared the producers a little grief by asking them directly instead of whistle blowing without knowing the facts.

I know that this sounds very mean, but Woz really needs to lose a lot of weight. He would be able to dance a lot better if he had done so before the show. Maybe he wouldn't have hurt his ankle. I saw his performance on the show and I thought he did pretty well despite the weight issue and the injury. Woz may well be right on about the voting. Sometimes, technique isn't as important as how hard someone is trying.

So, in other terms, Woz blamed the TV show because he is a terrible dancer and no one was voting for him. Incredible. I can't believe the show actually showed him voting mechanism to keep him happy, I would have just kicked his pathetic ass off the show then. As much as he might love to think effort is directly related to success, its not. You can try hard and still fail. He tried hard, and he is still a terrible dancer, leading to bad voting results. No sabotage in that.

This is DWTS dancing ability has nothing to do with it. Its a popularity contest (supposedly).
The fact is yes its rigged. And I doubt Woz's turn around has much to do with being shown the server room as It does being shown the contract he signed.
Look at the rules, do the math and the conclusion is obvious...the only votes ever counted are those of the producers the results given a plain simple lies.
PS note anyone that has ever met Woz knows he is one of the nicest guys ever. He is also honest and upfront about everything. Woz doesn't care if he wins. in fact he knows he wont. he knows he cant dance. but the show is about fun and entertainment and Woz loves that.
What Woz said before was because he believed it. and it upset him not because he might lose but because people are being lied too.
Yeah folks david allan greir got more votes then Woz! I'll believe that right after OJ finds the real killers and Dick Cheney find WMD's in Iraq.

If just the Wayans family voted for Grier - then he got more votes. And just a side note ... they DID find WMDs in Iraq ... I wish people would stop spinning that.
