I got ridiculously lucky. I got surprised with an 11" MacBook Air!!!! (128 GB, 1.66 GHz, 4 GB RAM) BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!!

I gave her a sterling silver bracelet from Ernesst Jones and an HTC Smart PAYG mobile. :)
We got our 7-year old daughter a iPod touch. It was a major hit right away. Then she found out that her best friend got one too, and they figured out FaceTime: Suddenly the device went up another couple of notches in value. That same day we watched "How To Train Your Dragon" (which we all loved), and a quick search got us the iOS game that allows our daughter to "fly a dragon"... and another notch up in perceived value. Right now, she's putting together movies in iMovie...

December 27 2010 at 9:00 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMy family surprised me on XMas I with the iPad (WiFi + 3G 16 GB). I know the iPad 2 is being announced within a month, but I already have an iPhone 4 with Retina Display and FaceTime and I like iPad the way it is right now.
My wie couldn't afford an iPad, but she did get me an iPatch - similar, but pirates wear them!
Oh, and finally buckled under the Angry Birds juggernaut and spent 59p on myself.
