Apple just released the Snow Leopard Font Update. This fix addresses bugs encountered with OpenType fonts when displaying and printing documents. According to Apple, the bug fix will

  • Address an issue in which some OpenType fonts don't display correctly in certain applications
  • Resolve issues printing from Preview
  • Address an issue with PDF files not opening in third-party PDF viewing applications
  • Resolve invalid font errors when printing to PostScript printers

The update is being distributed through the standard OS X Software Update mechanism, so check Apple > Software Update... on your Mac.

What kills me is I had a support call into Apple on Friday last week about this exact issue. Not only did they not have a fix - they blamed Adobe and said it wasn't an Apple problem at all.
Don't get me wrong - I love my Apple Products, but sometimes... Really?

Well you're lucky, they banned my Appple ID from the user forums because I called them for their lies about why they do not support Adobe Flash, check my block post about it: http://applesucks.squarespace.com/blog/apple-banned-me-from-forums-scared-of-adobe-flash-on-ipad-an.html

This update reset my date and time setting to December 31, 2000. It also reset my firewall exclusions and keychain. Update with caution!

Mac OS X 10.6.7 seemed to introduce a few problems (like the broken bluetooth problem). Its good to see that they are getting fixes out relatively quickly.
For a fix for the broken bluetooth in 10.6.7, follow this link:
