Apple has officially unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, marking a decade of its flagship wearable technology. The new iteration introduces a larger, brighter display, a thinner body, and advanced health features, ensuring Apple continues to lead in the smartwatch market.
Bigger Display and Thinner Design
The Apple Watch Series 10 boasts a 30% larger display than its predecessor, offering improved readability and functionality. This new wide-angle OLED screen is 40% brighter, making it easier to use even in direct sunlight. Despite the larger display, Apple managed to reduce the overall thickness, making it 9.7mm thin—approximately 10% slimmer than previous models.
Apple also integrated the antenna into the metal back of the watch, which helps maintain its water resistance while reducing the layers needed in the watch’s construction. This contributes to the watch’s lighter weight without compromising its durability.
Health and Performance Upgrades
One of the standout new features of the Apple Watch Series 10 is sleep apnea detection. Leveraging its existing sensors, the watch can now alert users if it detects signs of sleep apnea during the night. This addition highlights Apple’s continued focus on health monitoring.
Under the hood, the watch runs on Apple’s new S10 processor, which powers a range of intelligent on-device features. While Apple Intelligence isn’t coming to this model, the Series 10 still benefits from improved neural processing and machine learning capabilities.
Charging and Pricing
The Apple Watch Series 10 charges faster than ever, reaching 80% in just 30 minutes. The new titanium finish, available in polished, gold, and slate gray, offers a sleek look for users who want a more premium feel.
Priced at $399, the Series 10 will be available for pre-order starting Monday, with shipments beginning on September 20.
Apple continues to push the boundaries of wearable tech with the Series 10, combining advanced health features, a refined design, and faster performance.
