Apple has announced that Apple Fitness+, its award-winning fitness and wellness subscription service, will roll out in India on December 15. The expansion — Apple’s largest since the platform debuted five years ago — will bring Fitness+ to a total of 49 additional countries and regions.
“Fitness+ has helped inspire users to live a healthier day through its seamless integration across Apple devices,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies. He highlighted real-time metrics via Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3 and the ability to use the service on iPhone or iPad from virtually anywhere. “We couldn’t be more excited to bring this experience to even more users around the globe with our biggest expansion yet,” he added.

What Fitness+ Offers
With the latest expansion, users can access 12 workout types — including Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and Meditation — with sessions ranging from 5 to 45 minutes. The service works across iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
Using an Apple Watch enhances the experience with metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, Activity ring progress, and the Burn Bar, which compares users’ performance against others who have completed the same workout. AirPods Pro 3 users can also view personal metrics directly on screen.
The service’s Custom Plans feature automatically builds personalised weekly schedules based on a user’s preferred workout types, durations, trainers, and music. Other motivation tools include:
- Stay Consistent, a pre-built schedule tailored to a user’s routine
- Push Further, which adds more workout time or sessions for advanced users
- Get Started, designed for newcomers based on their initial preferences
Music, Artist Spotlights, and Motivation Tools
Music plays a central role in the Fitness+ experience, powered by deep integration with Apple Music. Apple is introducing a new K-Pop genre in Fitness+ workout playlists, adding to existing categories such as Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits, Hip-Hop/R&B, and Latin Grooves.
The Artist Spotlight series features playlists dedicated entirely to a single musician, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, BTS, Selena Gomez, and Coldplay.
Fitness+ also includes Time to Walk, an award-winning audio experience featuring personal stories and music from well-known personalities such as Cynthia Erivo, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and more. The latest episode spotlights Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda.
Users can access curated Collections like Run Your First 5K, Pilates for More Than Your Core, No Shoes Workouts, and So Fresh! 90s Dance, as well as 12 meditation themes ranging from Calm and Sleep to Sound.

Apple Fitness+ is priced at ₹149 per month or ₹999 per year, and supports Family Sharing for up to five additional users.
