WWDC 2007: June 11 - 15

Attention Mac coding nerds (and I say that will all possible respect), Apple has announced the dates for their World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC for those in the know). This year WWDC is happening in San Francisco on June 11th through the 15. WWDC is traditionally a little later in the summer, which leads people to believe that Steve might announce Leopard's availability during the WWDC keynote.

Update: It would seem that my memory only goes back as far as last year, which had an unusually late WWDC. This date is more inline with 'traditional' WWDC time. My bad, as the kids say.

I just got my invite to WWDC - and by the looks of the Time Machine 'look'... Leopard is the main attraction.

Uh, June 11-15 _IS_ still spring. Summer starts June 21st. So that would still be a perfectly valid Spring 2007 release.

I hope not too. I was really holding out for an updated macbook pro and leopard, as I think it's safe to say we'll see them come out at the same time. Saves me $130 + I get the latest hardware.

Er, no, it's not "traditionally" later in the summer. Last year's was very late, due to its need to coincide with certain announcements from Intel, but June 11-15 is right in the range most people expect it to be. Last year's was in August, but the three years before that were June, and when they were in San Jose (1990-2002) they were in May.

See a list of all dates here:
