Im so glad this is finally happening. I used to have to drive down to Novi to get my computer looked at, or just to oggle the new toys.

Michigan's fourth store, but Indiana only has one. Come on Apple, we want you in South Bend Indiana home to Notre Dame and lot's of college students who will buy your products!

Come on Apple! Put a store in East Lansing! Ugghh, Ann Arbor is fine for now I guess.

Do these grand openings usually have tons of people there? Will there be 1000 people there before the store opens? I want to go to this store opening, but I am not sure how early I should go.

There's also an Apple Store opening in Orland Park, IL at the Orland Square Mall. I am THERE. I highly doubt I'll need to get there SUPER early to score a t-shirt...but it's cool to have one in Chicago's south suburbs.

An Apple store in E. Lansing? That'll take a while. I imagine Apple doesn't want to deal with a deluge of "water" damage incidents every Saturday when MSU loses its game and some knucklehead spills his red cup of mineral water.

E Lansing would rock, but they could _definitely_ open one in the Eastwood shopping center.
It's located right next to a highway (127) and there are _plenty_ of people in okemos and EL who will happily shell out the duckets needed for their products.

Just a warning though - It's Ann Arbor's Annual Art Fair through the weekend. Traffic might suck bad.

Oh thank god...the only other place to get service, barring a 40 minute drive to Novi, was with the chuckleheads at the now-defunct CompUSA. What a joy. Good things come to those who wait.

Do we know what the opening day prize is going to be? How much do you think the Lucky Bags will cost?

Just to comment on "G's" comment. I was up there a few years back for the high school all-star football game and the art festival was that weekend too. Traffic wasn't all that bad just had to take a few detours. But I do remember having to wait forever to get a table at one of the restaurants. So if you plan on eating around there you may run into some delays.

Yeah, my wife and I will be there. They usually have a shuttle to the Art Fair from Briarwood so it could get a bit messy but the opening will probably be before a bunch of the big crowds. Anyone have any idea how busy it will be?

Hey Apple, there's a million folks here in the upstate of South Carolina, yet there's not a single Apple Store in the entire state. The Greenville CompUSA sells Macs by the truckload. Our Mac Users Group gets high praise. Greenville is booming with an affluent customer base. Hurry up and give us a real Apple Store already!
Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

I'll be there. I can literally walk to this store which is great. As long as it isn't raining its probably what I'll do Saturday. The location couldn't be better for me.

Just got home from the Briarwood Mall for the Harry Potter release. When camped out for the Apple Store opening, security asked me to leave at 0130 once the other Harry Potter people left. I REALLY wanted to be at the store when it opened, but the wife insisted we head home if we couldn't wait inside.
