iTunes 7.6.2 update

Today, Apple released iTunes 7.6.2, an update to the previous version of iTunes (7.6.1). Usual Apple update lingo shows that this update fixes some bugs in order "to improve stability and performance."

You can download this update by opening Software Update (Apple menu > Software Update).

Just an aside: past updates have shown us that iTunes updates come before any iPod/iPhone firmware update, so could this mean some new iPhone firmware will crop up soon? Only time will tell.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Updated to iTunes 7.6.2.9 and it erased all of my music. all of it was legal, either purchased through iTunes or CD's. This computer is authorized. What gives? How do I fix it. Someone from Apple talked me through this before after giving me a really hard time about having pirated the software, but I can't remember the fix.

Any chance they've fixed the bug that prevents iTunes from syncing playcounts of tracks played on iPhone playlists?

Finally. This update fixes a major bug and annoyance. iTunes used to cut off the final 4 seconds of the last song of imported CDs. Now I have some reimporting to do, about 25 CDs. Thanks, Apple.

Glad to hear it. I'm in the process or re-ripping 800+ CDs as lossless.

Holy cats... I've just started importing my CD collection and I'm about 1/5 of the way through...and I had no idea about this bug. I've just checked a few albums. It didn't do it every time, but it happened often enough...

And I thought the CD unmounting bug was annoying!
