Steve Jobs up for Time's 'Person of the Year'

Time magazine has revealed its final seven candidates for Person of the Year, and one Mr. Steven P. Jobs has made the list. Though the editors of Time have already chosen the winner (to be announced on The Today Show on Wednesday morning), MSNBC.com wants to know who us average folk would vote for.

At the risk of our audience being slightly biased, I'm going to release the same poll here. So vote below, and don't feel bad if you don't think Steve should get it. He's already won another little award this year.
Who should win Time's 2009 Person of the Year?
Steve Jobs3630 (49.9%)
Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve213 (2.9%)
The Chinese worker, because without them you wouldn't have 90% of the things in your house.1504 (20.7%)

i went to see what the real list was because i couldnt believe freaking Bernanke was on it, only to find out... "2009's Time Person of the Year is Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, which for once is not likely to be a controversial choice. Bernanke was chosen as Time Person of the Year for his influence in the struggles to heal the American economy."

Def. Chinese worker. Were it not for the near slave labor of the Chinese worker, the Middle Class would be much smaller; we all *know* tiny wonders of miniaturization and complex electronics don't *really* cost what we pay for them.

Right?

I wouldn't select any of these. I can't really see what any of them has done... maybe Pelosi for squeaking the healthcare bill through senate, but it was pretty severely gimped.

For obvious reasons Steve Jobs could be the person of the decade, next year. But this year nothing really happened.

The Chinese worker of course. Where would Steve be without them?

Usain Bolt

The only one in the list that genuinely accomplished something incredible without the assistance of marketing departments, consultants and high explosives.

Weird...this list doesn't match with Time's actual list. I prefer Time's list of candidates.

The list should also be a lot shorter... it's padded with an awful lot of people who have nothing to crow about this year.
