Apple has announced a major reshuffle in its leadership teams, focusing on Apple Music and Global Affairs. These changes aim to improve strategy, increase efficiency, and better respond to global challenges.
This move comes shortly after Apple restructured its robotics division, showing a clear trend of internal reorganization.

Apple Music Gains Dual Leadership
The Apple Music team will now be co-managed by two leaders. Rachel Newman, a longtime Apple executive, will work alongside Ole Obermann, formerly of TikTok. Obermann brings experience in digital music partnerships and global industry trends.
Both will report to Oliver Schusser, who continues to lead Apple TV+ and Apple Sports. This structure aims to merge Apple’s deep internal knowledge with external innovation.
Global Affairs Sees New Reporting Lines
Apple has also adjusted its Global Affairs leadership. Matt Browne, who oversees European affairs, and Elizabeth Hernandez, head of Asia government relations, will now report to Lisa Jackson. Jackson leads Apple’s environmental and policy efforts.
Previously, both reported to Nick Ammann, who will now focus on India and China. These two regions will remain under the direction of Frank Fan and Virat Bhatia.
Aiming for Global Alignment
With this reshuffle, Apple brings its global operations more in line with its U.S. government affairs strategy. Tim Powderly will continue leading those efforts domestically. The goal is to ensure all regions are aligned in how Apple responds to policy changes and government regulations.
More Changes Likely to Follow
Apple often updates its leadership to match business needs and market conditions. As regulatory pressures grow and streaming competition intensifies, the company appears to be placing trusted leaders in key positions.
These new structures reflect Apple’s commitment to staying ahead—both creatively and globally.
