Apple Store coming to Boston
Not Peabody, not
Brainitree, not Cambridge...I mean Boston, as in directly across the street from the Prudential Center on Boylston
street. Mayor Menino is expected to announce the deal later this week for a street level, four-story
location that will be among the largest Apple Stores. With Berklee, Northeastern, Emerson, etc. right in that
neighborhood, it's a fantastic location (and, ironically, directly across the street from where last year's now defunct
Macworld Boston took place).I'm very happy about this announcement. Hurrah!

yay! i can see those same buildings in the photo from mine! does this mean itll be easier to get someone to fix the printing and font beareau issues in the northeastern mac lab? (about 40 shiny humming g5s)

I'd be interested to know how all the Universitys' computer stores will do financially with the Apple Store in such a convient location (and offering the same discounts, and probably have a better stock).

So there will be 3 Apple Stores within 20 minutes of each other? Boston, Chestnut Hill and Cambridge Side.

Wow, this is awesome news! As a Northeastern student and after doing a co-op with Apple I couldn't be more pumped to see them coming there. Too bad I graduate in 2007 and well I'll hope to go back to the mothership, if it opens soon enough I'll try and get a job! So cool 4 story all glass, flagship right in Boston!

Apple store is coming to South Shore, the Derbry Street shops exit 13 I think (or 15?). Still, a solid hour drive from Cape Cod.

we have a mac lab in 303 Ryder, it's for graphic design/animation/photo/multimedia majors only though. (I'm an animation major) There are macs in the infocommons though
