Found Footage: Steve Jobs interview on CNBC

A number of folks have sent this interview that His Steveness did on CNBC right before the Fifth Avenue store opened. Notice the elevator in the back there, no need to worry about getting a stroller or wheelchair down those glass stairs.

Note the elevator in the back of the store... just bring along a supply of fresh water and be prepared for the 45 minute wait.

Scott, it'd be much appreciated if you'd refrane from calling Steve Jobs "His Steveness" in future articles.

He's not God, as much as many adore him as such.

How is an Apple Store going to open in China? It barely has a presence there, and it has to compete against software pirates. Also, there's the worrying about the employees giving special deals when they shouldn't (like saying "you CAN get the official product, but I'll give you this 'copy' version for cheaper"). My best memory of my local Apple reseller (which very much looks like an Apple store I remember from back in California) is when a couple took in a FAKE iPod nano (you know, the ones that Engadget features every so often?) for repair and the people there actually took an honest effort to fix it. Also, when I went there to look at getting a Macbook Pro, it was running Windows. The next day, it went back to running Mac OS X. The sales people said that Apple policy didn't allow them to demonstrate Boot Camp. Pity... I run the other way now (Mac OS x86 with Win XP Home on a VAIO) because my Powerbook was too easily damaged and AppleCare couldn't compare to Sony's VAIO Plus warranty, which covers repairs or replacement for practically anything except earthquakes, theft, and loss. (Note- Sony's VAIO Plus warranty only exists in Japan. I happen to go there a lot. Don't buy a Sony in the US, the US models aren't nearly as durable as the Japanese imports and the US warranty sucks.)

Steve really knows how to answer a pressing question without saying Yes or No. He could be a politician.

Anyone else notice that he makes a very strong point when it comes to putting Intels in the consumer lines? He seemed to know about AMD too. AMD Opterons in the next X-Serves??

Great interview, the guy is as well prepared in an interview as he is in his keynotes.

What about PowerPC? They make some fast processors. Granted the battery life is slightly better with the Yonah. (maybe!)

Stupid reporter. Steve asked her whether she meant "Retail stores" when she asked him about overseas expansion of Apple and she replied with "Apple in general". I'd love to know if Apple is planning more Apple Stores overseas, particularly in China.

I thought this woman should be fired...

The first 4 question where all "Here's the big question", hello? Anybody home in that head? Oh I forgot... she's just a drone reading what's on the screen...

Apple not doing well in Europe? Whatever...

The B-word is what I think of... perhaps we're a little beyong that even.
