Some stockings are luckier than others, Apple tells us. They've released a new Busby Berkeley-style Radio City Music Hall-inspired Holiday advertisement that showcases their line of Christmas-worthy gifts. Don't know about you, but I rather like it. Dancing iPods. Dancing laptops. Dancing LCD displays. No more "Silent Nights" once you get an iPod, indeed.

Another very clever advertising idea, you have to give credit to Apple for their marketing pitches.

I don't think this is an advert, this is displayed in their Apple Stores as a screensaver.

Score another one for the Apple advertising machine. Very clever, entertaining and with a smidgen of humour thrown in. Excellent. Sony, take note.

By your logic, if they displayed "I'm a Mac" ads as a screensaver they would no longer be advertisements. Of course not, so why wouldn't this Mac and iPod promotional ad be one as well.

Why no MacPros? or Cinema Displays? or their other very high-end, expensive products that you'd need to be incredibly rich to afford as simple presents? Oh wait, the reason I just said lol. I wasn't too fond of the ad at first but the shuffles clipping on to the red ribbon made me chuckle. Not a bad ad.

Mac Pros aren't targeted towards the average home consumer. With that being said, where are the Mac minis?

who has actually seen this as a commercial on broadcast TV? looks more like the screen saver at your local retail store set to a musical background. also the last frame does not reference a url which almost every real commercial does.

Mac Pro isn't included because the iPods, iMacs and MacBooks are obviously skating on ice, and you would only see the Mac Pro for an instant as it flashed past the screen and dropped straight through.

When is Apple going to dump the iMac and make something worth buying? I want a Mac mini or Mac Cube with a 3.5" hard drive and real video card dancing on ice thank you.

I love it too. I wish Apple would do something like this for television. It's refreshing to see something beside the iPods in an Apple commercial. I think combining the computers and iPods, as in this spot, would be a great advertisement.
