I was one of the ones who attended the grand opening of the new Apple Store in Tulsa last night. What a wonderful sight it was to come home to, after being out of the country on holiday.
I stood in line for a little over three hours and they opened the store promptly at six p.m. My family and I were lucky enough to receive one of their promotional t-shirts, once inside. Although at this point I could not afford the new Apple IPhone, I did purchase an Ishuffle which I have wanted for quite sometime.
The employees were friendly and cheerful, even coming out before opening and handing out free bottled water to those that wanted it while standing in line.
Thank you Apple, for opening a store in Tulsa. I will definitely be back for continued shopping.
I just got off the phone from talking with someone in the Woodland Hills Mall office. She told me they received updated information this morning that the Apple Store WILL open at 6pm on Friday 6/29/07.

I was just thinking of getting a Mac and now we're getting an Apple store. It must be fate.

Congratulations to the Apple Store Tulsa, OK! The Apple Store should bury a Mac or an iPhone and have it opened 50 years from now.
They totally should have opened the store on Friday though, that would have been sweet for Tulsa

I kid.
Well this is all well and good but... more Apple stores in Canada ploz!
Saskatchewan, specifically. At least bring our number of stores up to that of the UK and Japan!
I looked in the open hole (where a door knob should be) and they're going to have to work their tails off to get THAT ready in time.
I've been told first week in July by Woodland Hills Mall mgmt and other Apple Store mgmt. If I had assurances it was opening the 29th (which would be awesome wouldn't it? iPhone day and all) I'd be THERE for my purchase.
I'll have pix for you guys.
29th or 30th I don't care, I'm lining up!
w00t!
