The ultra portability of the iPhone lets services like Twitter and Pownce realize their intended purpose: tell the world what you're doing at any given moment. PocketTweets offers a UI for Twitter designed especially for use with the iPhone. It's uncluttered and perfectly legible without zooming in. I tried it out this morning and it works great - Simply sign in with your Twitter credentials and you're off. I've bookmarked this one.

I think Hahlo.com is better. Not perfect yet, but it seems to have more functionality.

I still seem to prefer the mobile twitter site. Clean, readable, and easy to use. Plus it remembers me, so I don't have to continually login back in.

@Eli Hodapp: Yes, a lot of people use Twitter. Might I ask where you have been for the past 6 months? Twitter is all the rage, although now Pownce is trying to win in the microblogging/social networking war.

Just signed up for this through my iphone . . it really does work as flawlessly as you would think . . . . I kind of wish all web apps were this easy to use! I've never been much of a twitter, but i can see myself being one now!

TUAW has ruined my fifteen minutes of fame. I could have been on Foxnews. I could have been on Capitan Kangaroo. But no! They had to go an put a screen shot of some Twitter app with one of my tweets on it on TUAW.com. My life is over. I need to go check and see what copyright I have on my Twitter avatar.
