Steve Jobs impersonators take over NBC on Chuck and 30 Rock

It seems that Hollywood is beginning to miss Steve Jobs almost as much as we are. This is especially true for two of NBC's hit comedy shows; "30 Rock" and "Chuck." Both were new this week and overflowing with appreciation for Stevie J.

For most Apple fans it is easy to spot when many TV shows and movies feature Apple gear. The most recent episodes of "30 Rock" and "Chuck," however, go above and beyond featuring a shameless homage to the man himself, Steve Jobs -- in 30 Rock's case, doing a great take on a worldchanging Apple announcement from the not-too-distant past. I won't get into the details of the episodes themselves but I have posted the clips after the break. In case you missed it, both episodes are online over at Hulu.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

The Chevy Chase character seemed a lot more Larry Ellison than Steve Jobs.

Chuck is only kinda sorta homage. Earlier in the episode, Chuck talked about how "He'd hoped for Apple or Microsoft, but Rork (Tork? Can't remember) was even better!" Either way, it's not copying Steve, but I couldn't help thinking it was like an Apple Keynote either...

Yeh I watched the 30 Rock episode last night when it aired... nice little treat when Fey did Jobs.

I wouldn't bother with the Chuck one... the Apple references are pretty vague. I think it's actually better if you imagine Chase as Steve Ballmer. I really wish I had those 5 minutes I watched back...

Scott Bakula plays Chuck's dad? Almost makes me wish I had a chance to see that show.

The 30 Rock one was funny because it was so specific and was an old keynote (MacWorld 2007 and the introduction of the iPhone).

It also makes a strong reference to the Mac introduction in 1984, when she says "I'll let the show speak for itself." Classic.
