With the recent
introduction of documentation to create iTunes LP and iTunes Extras and the ability to submit the the iTunes Store, Apple might be thinking about bringing development of iTunes LP a bit further.
Boy Genius Report is reporting they've heard that Apple might be wanting to bring iTunes LP creation to the next version of iDVD, which is part of iLife.
This could further broaden the creation of iTunes LP for independent artists, as they could be created right along with other things in iLife. iDVD hasn't received a major update in a
few years, so it could be likely iDVD will receive some sort of update.

It'll never happen. iTunes LP looks great and runs smoothly now, because Apple chose who could create them. When average "Jack Hoffman" goes to create one for his "Track 1-14", it will completely ruin the image of iTunes LP.

iTunes LP and iTunes Extras both require some production knowledge, and not everyone needs to produce these except those planning to sell digital media on the iTunes Store. It's a pro-level job. iDVD? That doesn't seem to make much sense. DVD Studio Pro? Makes more sense. iTunes Producer? Maybe, but the new 2.0 beta is such minimal, unhelpful junk, I wouldn't expect much of it.
On the other hand, it would give iDVD/DSP new purpose as Apple seems to be ignoring it in favor of downloads over discs. Maybe a name change is coming, too?

They may use iDVD as a consumer-level authoring tool, but require Motion for generation of Custom Templates.
This will keep actual design professional, but open creation up to consumers.

Wouldn't it make more sense to add this feature to something like Garageband? Or iWeb?
What's iTunes LP got to do with DVD authoring?
I can't see it being added to a tool designed to create DVDs.
