First, fake Apple Stores. Now, fake Steve Jobs biography.

First fake Apple Stores, now China has fake Steve Jobs biographies. The fake biography's title roughly translates to Steve Jobs Gives 11 Advices To Teenager in English and its author is a man who goes by the name "John Cage." MicGadget says the fake bio first went on sale at Taiwanese bookseller KingStone in April and has already sold 4,000 copies earning US$39,000 in profit.

The official Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson launches on November 21st. There's no assertions that this is a stolen and translated copy of Isaacson's manuscript, rather its likely the content of the book is assembled from previously printed information about Jobs. TechCrunch also suggests that the title could imply that the material was translated from Steve Jobs' Stanford commencement speech.

Until the book is pulled by Apple legal it can be purchased for US$8.10 here.

Right. Because we all want to pay for a copy of a fake, Chinese biography about Steve Jobs.

Hmm $8.10 for just 11 advices? I might pay that much for 15 or 20 advices but not just 11.

Danny Bloom beat me to it! I was also annoyed to see Taiwan listed as China. Unfortunately, this is an international problem. Nevermind the fact that the two countries have different passports, currency, militaries, and governments.

Henry, just to clarify......there are two Chinas.....one is commie, one is free....Taiwan is the free one. So for MG here to write ''First fake Apple Stores, now China has fake Steve Jobs biographies.'' is plain wrong and stupid and incorrect and illierate and i wish i could type better. SMILE

he should write ''First fake Apple Stores, now Taiwan has fake Steve Jobs biographies. ''

shoulda. we wil learn him step by step. he is in UK now so he prob thinks UK is part of US right? since both nations speak English. duh

It's more complicated than just democracy and communism or whatsoever. Taiwan has long been part of China, and the people there are technically of Chinese ethnicity. I'm not necessarily saying Taiwan should be considered as part of China, but I think it would be more appropriate to use the term greater China over both Taiwan or China :)

@David Bloom. Taiwan is the Republic of CHINA, so technically, the title is still correct.
